Frost Pictures at the cabin 2008
A couple of days of fog, makes the place look like a winter wonderland.
My favorite tree,
and this is my favorite cabin in the trees.
The trail coming from the east, is built for 4 wheelers, not for cars.
In this shot you can see the cabin and it's relationship with
the big tree, a little better.
At times the frost was very heavy, but it varied quite a bit.
The view from just in front of the cabin.
I'm guessing I was roughly half done with the insulating at this point.
I was ready for bed the night I took this, notice the insulation,
or lack of it.
So, this is what it looked like at the end of Christmas break, insulated, and
carpet on the floor. Now the plan is to use it. I'm not going to
worry about the interior siding (it's weathered wood from an old granary, so I
have to recycle it). That takes a while, and it isn't going to happen until
the weather is nice this spring.
