I'm 39 again! 14th anniversary!  I am 53. Hard to believe.

The "group of five" who graduated from Dunseith HS in 1971 and Minot State College in 1975. (Could that really be 31 years ago??)  Left to right, Keith Abrahamson, myself, Gary Fulsebakke, Alan Henning, and David Campbell.  Sadie the bulldog (lower right) was too young to go to college with us, but would have fit in.  I was quite sure Gary had a good time, but for some reason he didn't appear that way in this picture.

This was a nice collection of friends I have known since childhood.  It was great fun to see them all. (Left to right, Alan Henning, Vickie Johnson Messner (partially hidden), myself, Jim Mellmer, Gary Fulsebakke, Terry Fugere, Larry Tooke, Keith Abrahamson, David Campbell)

I love having friends over,

people who haven't seen each other for a long time,

whether it's catching up,

or dealing with new realities.

It was great that my old buddy Larry Tooke stayed over night, so of course Sadie had to wake him up.  All told, I had a great birthday!  Thanks to everyone!

On Superbowl Sunday, Bob, Becky, and Bobbi Jo Vandal stopped over, along with old friend Jean Pladson.

We're a little worried about Bob.

Merry Christmas!

So sorry I haven't gotten the webpage all rebuilt!

I hope your Christmas was as wonderful as ours was!!

Of course the highlight was having Brandon and Aline,

as they couldn't make it home last Christmas.

That's not to say there weren't other highlights.

This is Gavin, Hannah's boy who was sleeping

when we were taking the picture above,

and no-one wanted to wake him.

Of course we all fell in love with Aline almost as much

as Brandon.  They said their vows privately before the judge

in New York, but hope to have a more formal wedding

in her native Brazil.  How do you say "good time"

in Portuguese?

Ben prepared Prime Rib for Christmas Eve.

Not quite Grandma's Lutefisk, but not bad, in fact, extremely good!

Nikki and Hannah hammed it up for Mom's camera.

Of course I was doing my video thing.

The kids played with the cardboard box,

(with help from Auntie Hannah)

Of course the grandkids were local royalty.

I think Dad had a good time too!

As for the year 2005,

Although this is probably my favorite picture of the year,

this one trumps it all for me.
